Wilda Gail Beck, 85, passed away September 2, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born October 6, 1939 in Dallas City, IL, she was the daughter of Harry G. and Fern A. (Moyes) McCord. Wilda began her work career as a special clerk for McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing for 18 years then as a floral clerk at Bethalto Schnucks before retiring. She was a member of the Wood River Hoedowners Square Dance Club. On June 9, 1962 at the 1st Christian Church in Wood River, she married Richard "Dick" Beck. He survives. Surviving also are a son, Michael James Beck in Alton; step-sons, Terry Lee Beck and Nicholas Beck, Sr. of House Springs, MO; grandchildren; Aiden Beck, Tanner Cagle; several great grandchildren; dear and special cousins, Barbara Jean Hoover and Carol Ann Moyes. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jodi Lynn Beck; step-sons, Richard Allen Beck, Anthony Beck; brother, Ronald McCord; and brother-in-law, Charles Hanfelder. Visitation will be 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Monday, September 15 at 1st Christian Church in Wood River. Walter McCaslin will officiate. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
