Travis Eldon Blumstein, 45, passed away August 25, 2025 at his home after battling renal cancer for the past six months.
Born September 25, 1979 at St. Joseph Hospital in Alton, he is the son of Jeffrey E. Blumstein of Brighton and Patricia A. (Thompson) Blumstein of Jerseyville.
Travis was a 1997 graduate of Southwestern High School. He enjoyed growing up with his many cousins and friends, aunts and uncles who enjoyed his mischievous antics as a child. Sitting around a campfire with friends and neighbors, listening to music, was his favorite pastime. He also enjoyed carpentry and wood working activities.
He was employed by Southwestern Heating and Air Conditioning.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a loving daughter, Xaviera "Zavy" Rae Blumstein of Alton; brother, Jeffrey Todd Blumstein of Brighton; two nieces, Hannah of Alton and Haley of Godfrey.
He was preceded in death by his parental grandfather, Warren E. Blumstein and maternal grandparents, Laverne and Betty Thompson.
Cremation rites were accorded.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
