Tracy Edward Chappell

Tracy Edward Chappell, 48, passed away unexpectedly, November 7, 2025 in Wood River.

Born October 6, 1977 in Fairbury, IL, he was the son of Alicia A. Chappell  of Dorsey and Donald Chappell.

Tracy had worked as a laborer for Labor Local #338 in Wood River.  He enjoyed singing Karaoke, loved being outdoors and collecting arrowheads.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Hailey (Austin) Leggans of Charleston, IL; grandson, Paisley; two brothers, Mark Chappell of Dorsey, Troy Chappell of Fenton, MO; two sisters, Stacey (Chris) Beck of Pittsfield, Angela (Jason) walker of Bethalto; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and two "Bonus Daughters", Morgan and Madison Davis. 

Cremation rites were accorded.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be planned at a later date.
