Timothy P. Joyce

Timothy Patrick Joyce, 62, passed away on October 12, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Tim was born in Morristown, NJ, on November 27, 1961, the youngest child of the late John E Joyce, Jr and the late Lucy C. (Matthews) Joyce.

He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Paris) Joyce.

Tim graduated from Stewartsville Elementary and Phillipsburgh Catholic High School. He proudly served in the US Navy as a radio submariner on the USS Puffer for 8 years as a RM2(SS) and was stationed throughout the world, including Antartica. Tim was a journeyman pipefitter with Steamfitters Local 475 and 24. Tim believed in community and served as a volunteer firefighter with the Stewartsville Fire Company from 1994-2001.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruth; sisters, Cecilia Manriquez, Julia Piazza (Samuel), Lucy Joyce (Chris Lewis); brother, John Joyce III; stepson, Jim Hanner III (Nikki); his former wife, Peggy Davis Compton; step daughters, Larrissa Imperial (Dan) and Nicole Bullivant (Matthew); grandchildren, Andrew, Cody, Ryan, Dallas, Hailey, and Ayden; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Joyce; brother-in-law, John Manriquez; sister-in-law, Catherine Joyce; niece, Alycia LaPlaga; and nephew, Joshua Leighton.

Timothy's cremains will be committed in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
