Thomas Kevin Martin

Thomas K. Martin, 68, of Wood River, IL, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on August 26, 2025.

He was born on June 6, 1957, the son of the late Charles "Mert" and Margaret Ann (Meyer) Martin.

He was a 1975 graduate of Wood River High School. He is survived by his wife, Marla (Gardner) Martin and two children, Marc Martin of East Alton and Kayla (Tim) Davis of Wood River and two step-children, Fred (Tyler) Vogel of Edwardsville and Joseph (Jessica) Vogel of O'Fallon, IL. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Brayden Martin, Alayna Davis, Kellen Davis and Will Vogel. Also surviving are his first wife, Colleen (Kelley) Martin and brother Terry Martin of El Dorado Hills, CA.

Tom was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. He was a member of the Wood River Knights of Columbus. He loved music and his beloved KSHE95.

He will be dearly missed by all who loved him including his close long-time friends, Bob Lowe, Larry and David Vandiver, Larry Gold and his cousin, Mike Walsh.

Per his wishes, his body will be donated to the St. Louis University School of Medicine.

There will be a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
