Theresa Rita (Wright) Goble

Theresa Rita Goble, 85, passed away April 17, 2024 at her home.

Born May 14, 1938 in Alton, she was the daughter of Joseph and Ion (Siedler) Wright.

She had worked 39 years in the Environmental Services Department for OSF St. Anthony Health Care in Alton before retiring.

Theresa enjoyed camping, fishing, playing BINGO, and going to the Wood River Donut Shop.

On October 28, 1968 in Bethalto, she married Elwood M. Goble. He died March 17, 1996.

Surviving are a son, Mark Goble of Alton; three daughters, Mary Ann Treadway of Roxana, Pam (Rudy) Goheen of Cottage Hills, Ginny Ford of Brighton; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; brother, Bill Wright; and two sisters, Agnes Braun of Staunton, and Marie Bantz of Wood River.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Daniel Harris; and three brothers, Jimmy, Bernie, and Joseph Wright.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 pm until time of service at 7 pm on Thursday, April 25 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Michael Adams will officiate.

Interment will be in Borlin Cemetery in Eldred.
