Stephen Bradley Pennock, 54, passed away unexpectedly September 28, 2025.
Born March 16, 1971 in Festus, MO, he was the son of Janice K. (nee, Bellew) Pennock of Sullivan, MO and the late Theodore O. Pennock. He had been working as a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 513.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel (nee, Ray) Pennock; three sons, Levi J. Graddy and Brett D. Bowling both of Sullivan, MO, Brodie M. Ehren of Manila, AR; three daughters, Audrianna Pennock of Bourbon, MO, Sarah N. (Matt) Gunter of Winfield, MO, Cidni L. Ehren of Cuba, MO; five grandchildren, Khali Y. Pennock, David L. Gunter, Luke E. Gunter, Damon Trower, Gage Wheeler; four step-grandchildren, Noah Golden, Braylen Hammock, Trevor Winter, Lilith Graddy; a brother, Douglas (Kelly) Pennock of Stanton, MO; six sisters, Melanie Mouser (Steve Dillon), Rebecca Pennock of Stanton, MO, Jennifer (Randi) Pennock and Grace Presley all of Sullivan, MO, Kay (Mike) Curry of Festus, MO, and Christina Schafer of West Plains, MO.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Jeffrey Pennock and Martin Pennock; and a sister, Vicky Todd.
Visitation will be from 12-3 pm, Saturday, October 4 at Marks Mortuary, 633 E. Lorena Ave, Wood River, IL.
Cremation rites will follow the visitation.
Memorials are suggested to 5 A's Animal Shelter in Alton.
