Sebastian Moss Obituary

Sebastian Eli Moss passed away early Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at one of his favorite places to be. Sebastian embraced life and didn't let anything get in the way of that. He loved all his people fiercely and seemed to attract people like a flower attracts bees.

Sebastian was born on February 27, 2013 alongside his identical twin brother, Grant Moss. Sebastian and Grant spent a lot of their time together practicing their auditions to be part of the WWE. Some of their favorite things to do together, besides wrestling, were swimming, going to the zoo, walking with PaPa and Jack on Main Street and anything else that involved their family.

Sebastian loved playing basketball, cleaning, riding roller coasters, carousels, trains, making people laugh and assuring everything was done just the right way. Many of the things that come naturally to most people took more time for Sebastian to learn. Sebastian worked harder and persevered to attain these skills, however, once he mastered them he reminded everyone that he had succeeded. He learned to talk later in his life, but made up for it by talking non-stop from the moment her learned, often in his sleep. Sebastian truly was a force to be reckoned with and took the world by storm.

Sebastian enjoyed eating out, much like his mom, Amber Moss and loved doing yard work and building things, like his dad, John Moss. He loved spending the night at MawMaw (Debi Huff) and Papa's (Kent Huff) house and eagerly went as often as he could. On Thursday morning's he would wake up excited for Grandma Anne (Anne Moss) to get him on the bus for school and enjoyed Grandpa Moss (Charles Moss) telling the story about Sebastian throwing his hat at Busch Stadium. He enjoyed trips to Great Mawmaw (Lois Fleming) and Great Papa's (Vincent Fleming) house, where he and his brother love sneaking upstairs to explore. He also enjoyed visiting his GREAT Aunt Jean and being her laundry assistant. He would ask daily to call Uncle Kyle (Kyle huff) and the first thing he would ask was "Come to LaLa (Laura Anders) and Kyle's?"

In Sebastian's ten years he spent many days and nights at the hospital and he loved almost every minute of his time there. Often he would clap and exclaim "Yay Doctors" when he pulled up to the hospital. He made so many friends there and especially love his Jack Jack (Jackie Knight) and making sure that Anne (Anne Karcher)  was doing her work in her office. He also made sure Miss Sharon came to clean his room every morning and eagerly wanted to help her get the trash out and mop. Sebastian was even often able to persuade the 2 South Team Leader (Nancy Weiss) to let him push her around the hall in the little red car. He always had to visit his "girlfriend" on Elevator B when he was at the hospital as well. His medical community was more than a medical team; they were his family and friends and they loved him up to his last breath.

Much like his life at the hospital, Sebastian also had a school community who supported and loved him every step of the way. He lived like a king at the school and worked hard to do his very best, well most days. Sebastian loved riding bus ten with Miss CicCi (Ciara) and ConCon (Connie) every morning and each afternoon. He thrived in his classroom thanks to the special education teacher Mrs. Wilburn, along with the amazing paraprofessionals, nurses and therapists at both the Early Childhood Center and at Discovery Elementary. All of them helped him to learn how to navigate the school safely on his own and helped him have a level of independence that wasn't even fathomable early in his life. He was young, but cast his net wide and strong.

The world will never be the same without Sebastian Moss in it, but the world is a better place because he was here.

Sebastian's life will be celebrated at The St.Louis Zoo, One Government Drive, St. Louis, MO 63110 at the McDonnell River Center, outside of the River's Edge, on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. His friends and family are invited to come and celebrate all that Sebastian was and the legacy of love he has left behind.

The family has asked that donations be made to SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
