Sandra Ann (Hammond) Wilson

Sandra Ann Wilson, 88, went to be with the Lord, July 20, 2025 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born August 25, 1936 in Springfield, IL , she was the daughter of Samuel and Emma (Craig) Hammond.

Sandra had worked as a secretary for the Internal Revenue Service then later as a secretary for East Alton School District #13 before retiring. She served as a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years and enjoyed being a "room mother" for her daughters in school.

On October 13, 1957 in Springfield, she married Thomas E. Wilson. He survives.

Surviving also are two daughters, Susan Wilson of Alton, Mary Jane Wilson of East Alton (companion, Charles Whitson); and sister, Julie Baughman of Rancho Mirage, CA.

Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Friday, July 25 at 1st United Methodist Church in East Alton. Pastor Edward Granadosin will officiate.

Private burial will be in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
