Ronald Smith Obituary

Ronald Warren Smith went to catch the biggest fish in heaven on April 12, 2026.

Ron, as he was known as, spent his life as he chose. He loved fishing, making fishing weights, making his own stink bate, camping, and spending time with his family. Ron enjoyed being outside and nothing would make him happier than a good ole bonfire.

Ron showed his children how to be outdoor people. He spent endless days teaching them how to fish, camp, fend for themselves, be independent and hardworking. He taught them how to live life as he seen fit. He was a good father. Ron spent many days, evening and midnights working as a machinist for 37 years at Olin Brass to provide for his family.

Ron is proceeded in death by his parents Edna and Warren, his adopted father Percy, his sister Doris, his first wife Cynthia, and his beloved wife Donna. Ron just recently lost his wife Donna just a few weeks ago and was heartbroken.

Ron leaves the legacy of the outdoor life to his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his children Sonya (Clyde) Preston, Rachael Mayberry Roseman, and Benjamin Smith. His stepdaughters Chrissy Brackman and Amy Brackman-Clare (Daniel). His grandchildren Amber Lowder (Tyler Vaughn), Dennis Lowder, Dominic, Dahmer, Skye Mayberry Lopilato (Dakota Chandler), Landyn Mayberry Lopilato, Ryver Roseman, Galaxy Smith, Paige Smith (Devin Young), Benjamin Smith Jr. Step grandchildren Grant Downing, Adeline Downing. Great grandchildren, Nonalee, Brantley, Tynlee, and Kashtion.

Ron will be cremated per families wishes.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.

May the fish bite good, the days be beautiful, and the bonfire be big and bright. Enjoy life to the fullest.
