Ronald Wayne Scifres

Ronald Wayne Scifres, 85, passed away March 30, 2024 at LaBella Care Center in Alton.

Born November 20, 1938 in Alton, he was the son of David and Elsie (Claussen) Scifres.

On April 29, 1961 in Wood River, he married Mary Kay Ruyle. She survives.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he worked as a adjuster for the Olin Corporation before retiring.

Surviving also are a daughter, Stephanie Scifres of Carlyle; brother, Jerry Scifres of Godfrey; and half-brother, Paul Sauls of Wood River.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Fred Scifres.

Cremation rites were accorded

Private interment will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
