Roberta Lea Garrett, 77, went to be with the Lord, November 21, 2024 at her residence.
Born February 9, 1947 in Alton, she was the daughter of Robert Roy and Anna Mae "Betty" (Unthank) Hovey.
Roberta had worked over 50 years as a Lab Technician and Wood River Township Hospital and St. Anthony's Health Center before retiring. She loved watching them in their sports, educational, and musical pursuits.
On October 8, 1965 in East St. Louis, she married Bobby Ward Garrett. He went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2019.
Surviving are a daughter, Michele "Micki" (Ritchie) Watkins of Granite City; three grandchildren, Chelsie Watkins, Bryce Watkins, Jenna Watkins; two great grandchildren, Phoenix Williams, Whitley Bowers; brother, Scott Hovey of Godfrey; and a sister, Sue Stutz of Godfrey.
Visitation will be from 2 pm until time of service at 5 pm, Monday, November 25 at Bethalto Church of God. Pastor Jacob Skelton will officiate.
