Robert "Bobby" F. Newell, Jr.

Robert "Bobby" Floren Newell, Jr., 69, passed away September 13, 2025 at LaBella of Alton.

Born March 10, 1956 in Wood River, he was the son of Robert F., Sr. and Beulah Maxine (Lievers)) Newell.

Bobby had been employed as a pipefitter in construction for many years. He enjoyed fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. He was also a member of the Wood River Moose Lodge #1349 and South Roxana American Legion Post.

He is survived by a brother, Steven Newell of South Roxana; three sisters, Rebecca Smith of Cottage Hills, Pamela Wiggins of Fenton, MO, and Kimberly LeVeck of Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Stephanie Carrington; brother, Gregory Newell; and sister, Sherri Kistner.

Visitation will be from 3 pm until time of service at 6 pm, Wednesday, September 24 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Frank Akers will officiate.

Cremation rites will follow the service.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
