Robert "Bob" Carl Madoux

Robert "Bob" Carl Madoux, 77, passed away, Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Born April 23, 1947 in Alton, he was the son of Alice (Zirges) Madoux of Worden and the late Carl Calvin Madoux..

Bob had been employed as a Broadcast Engineer at KMOV-TV in St. Louis for over 40 years before retiring in 2015. He enjoyed trains and ham radios.

On June 26, 1976 in Wood River, he married Mary Lou Ellis. She survives.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters, Sara (Chuck) Yeager of Boerne, TX, Amanda Madoux (partner,Mike McCowan) of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Maddie Yeager, Doug Yeager; and a brother, David (Kim) Madoux of Houston, TX.

Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Thursday, October 31 at First Christian Church in Wood River.  Walter McCaslin will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church in Wood River Building Fund.
