Rebecca J Nelson

Rebecca J. Nelson, 72, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 at OSF Saint Anthony Health Center in Alton, IL.

Born September 28, 1952 in Alton, IL, she was the daughter of George and Marjorie (Jones) Edgar. 

Rebecca was an animal lover with a kind heart and spirit. She would give you the shirt off of her back. She was employed as a secretary at a law firm.

She is survived by her companion, Dennis Haney; brother, Jeffrey (Jean) Edgar of Louisiana, MO; sisters, Susan (Jerry) Eller of Grafton, Sara (Joe) Carey of Grafton; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Daniel Edgar.

No services have been scheduled at this time. 

Cremation rites have been accorded as per her wishes.
