Raymond L. Wagenblast, 85, passed away August 3, 2024 at OSF St. Anthony Health Center in Alton.
Born September 24, 1938 in Brighton, he was the son of Fred, Jr. and Grace (Woods) Wagenblast.
A U.S. Army veteran, he had worked 13 years as a diesel mechanic for Argosy Gaming in Alton before retiring in 2004.
In 1968 in Alton, he married Lois Spaeter. She survives.
Surviving also are a son, Christopher John Christen of Godfrey; two granddaughters, Jaden and Aislynn; brother, Walter Wagenblast of Godfrey; favorite niece, Melissa; and a sister, Patricia Ezell in Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Edith Swisher; and a brother in infancy.
Cremation rites were accorded.
Private interment will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
