Patricia "Pat" Arlene Jones

Patricia A. Jones, 77, passed away Thursday April 30, 2026.

Born April 11, 1949 in Alton, she was the daughter of Edward and Clara (Billy) Jones.

She was a 1967 graduate of East Alton Wood River High School. After graduating she went to work for the FBI in Washington DC. Upon returning to Wood River she worked at Boatman’s Bank in St. Louis for 32 years in the wire transfer department. After retiring from the bank she went to work for Hudson Brothers in St. Louis. Pat liked going to country music concerts, traveling with her mom, enjoyed watching old movies and reading John Gresham and Michael Conley novels. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans for people.

She is survived by her siblings that referred to her as "sis", brother David (Reenie) Jones of Edwardsville; two sisters, Sheren(Gordon) Shifflett of Bethalto, Carol (Kevin) Hutchinson of Wood River; and a sister-in-law Deborah Jones of Jerseyville; nine nieces and nephews Dave, Craig, Will, Sasha, Brandi, Lacey, Nick, Michael and Elisha; 17 great nieces and nephews; and her companion Steve Landrum.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and a brother, Thomas Jones.

Private burial will be at a later date at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to BJC hospice or the American Cancer Society .

Cremation rites were entrusted to Mark Mortuary.
