Pamela "Pam" Jean Sherman, 65, passed away January 5, 2025 at St. Anthony Health Center in Alton.
Pam was born on August 21, 1959 in Alton to Ilse (Dahlen) McClintock and the late William E. McClintock.
She married Michael Sherman on September 8, 1979. He survives. Pam worked beside her dearest friend Angie Suhling for nearly 20 years, most recently at Harmony Salon Group in Godfrey.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, bird watching, nature photography, time with family and friends, especially her two granddaughters whom affectionately called her "Ya Ya."
In addition to her husband of East Alton, and her mother of Wood River, she is survived by her children, Sarah (Ryan) Goodman of Bethalto and Natalie Sherman of Wood River; and two granddaughters, Olivia and Julia Goodman of Bethalto; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William E. McClintock, her in-laws Kenneth and Betty Sherman, her brothers Dennis and William J. McClintock, and a niece Rebekah McClintock.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 12 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Frank Akers will officiate.
A private burial Monday at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials are suggested to the Audubon Society.
