Pamela Jo Hale, aged 71, went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2025, in Alton. Pam's life was marked by her faith and service to God and others. Her family and friends remember her selfless and positive attitude, kindness, good humor, and admonition to "be flexible."
She was born on October 10, 1954 in Kankakee, IL to Warren "Jack" Campbell and Jeannette (McDonough) Campbell.
Pam graduated from Roxana High School in 1972 and from Olivet Nazarene University in 1976, majoring in elementary education. She married Walter "Allen" Hale, III on June 7, 1980, in Roxana, and they were long-time residents of East Alton. She worked as an elementary school teacher at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Alton, and then at Central Elementary in Roxana for many years. Pam also earned a master's degree in education from Olivet. She exuded effortless grace and had an infectious laugh. A dedicated believer, Pam faithfully served Jesus at the Roxana Church of the Nazarene for many years as organist, Sunday School teacher, Child's Horizon Daycare board member, and volunteer. She loved being with and taking care of her family, cheering on her grandsons at their sporting events, rooting on the St. Louis Cardinals with Allen, and playing bunco with the gals.
Pam is survived by her husband Allen Hale; beloved daughters, Amy Koch of Plainfield, IN, and Kristen Hale of East Alton; grandsons, Carter and Jack Koch; along with other extended family and friends.
