Nancy Carol Coleman, 81, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 30, 2024 at LaBella of Alton Care Center.
Born December 29, 1942 in Gideon, MO, she was the daughter of David Allen and Flowiflina "Flow" (Bateman) May.
She had worked as the head cook in the Bethalto School District for 25 years before retiring in 1996.
On November 20, 1961 in Wood River, she married James T. "Red" Coleman. He died September 13, 2019.
Surviving are two sons, James Coleman of Moro, Daniel "Boone" Coleman of Ankey, IA; five grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Sarah, Dylan, and Jake; three great grandchildren, Luca, Grayson, and Ellie; two brothers, Jerry May of Blytheville, AR, Gary May of Rockford; and a sister, Shirley Abernathy of Manhatton, KS.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 12 pm, Friday, June 14, at Lifebrook Church in Bethalto. Brother Ron Robinson will officiate.
Private interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Lifebrook Church in Bethalto.
