Michelle Susan (Anielak) Sanchez

Michelle Susan Sanchez, 65, passed away July 4, 2026 at her home.

Born June 22, 1961 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Eugene and Mary (Hollenbeck) Anielak.

On April 11, 1984 in Clayton, MO, she married James Sanchez.  He died August 14, 2013.

Surviving are three sons, Michael Sanchez of Wood River, John Sanchez of Alton, Brian Sanchez of Bethalto; a grandson, Carter Sanchez; brother, Mark Anielak of O'Fallon, MO; and two sisters, Cindy Tillman and Susan Callenhan in Missouri.

Cremation rites were accorded.

A Memorial Celebration will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 from 3-5 pm at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
