Media "Elaine" (Woodward) Milton

Media Elaine Milton, 91, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 at Carlyle Health Care and Senior Living Center in Carlyle.

Born May 28, 1933 in Steele, MO, she was the daughter of Clarence and Ursela (Goggino) Woodward.

Elaine had worked as a key punch operator for Granite City Steel or 40 years before retiring.

She married Herbert Milton, Jr. on November 9, 1979 in Edwardsville.  He died September 22, 2008.

Surviving are a daughters, Linda (Lee) Murray, Sharon Milton (Eddie) all of Granite City; son, David Milton of Albers; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son and daughter-in-law, Herbert, III and Cindy Milton; daughter, Brenda Martin; and two brothers, Ed and Don Woodward.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Private interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

Memorials are suggested to the Granite City APA and/or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
