Mark Anthony Stassi

Mark Anthony Stassi, 63, passed away February 29, 2024 at his home.

Born March 8, 1960 in Alton, he was the son of Samuel John and Opal Janette (Sauls) Stassi.

Mark had worked as a laborer for Labor Local #338 in Wood River. He loved riding his Harley and being "grandpa".

On July 15, 2016 in Edwardsville, he was married to Dawn Giddings. She survives.

Surviving also are sons, Chad Stassi, Derek Stratman, Dylan (Alli) Stratman; daughters, Amy (John) Kirchner, Deann (Ben) Leonard; 11 grandchildren, Faith, Joshua, Noah, and Anthony Kirchner, Ian and Serena Stassi, Brinley and Brooks Stratman, Evelyn, Cal, and Cole Leonard; brother, Sam (Vickie) Stassi; sister, Claudia (Jerry) Pryor; nieces and nephews; many in-laws; and special friends, Chad and Mandi Elfgen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Patricia Baehler.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites were accorded.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
