Madilyn "Susie" Susan Stassi

Madilyn Susan "Susie" Stassi, 83, passed away November 1, 2025 at LaBella of Alton.

Born October 20, 1942 in Wood River, she was the daughter of Joseph M., Sr. and Catherine (Stimac) Stassi.

Susie had been a secretary at Wood River Township Hospital and at Fire Safety. She had attended St. Bernard School and was a member of Holy Angels Parish Church. She loved to garden and crochet.

She is survived by a sister, Gloria (Billy) Hamlin of Moro; brother, Joseph M., Jr. (Mary) Stassi of Wood River; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James Stassi.

Visitation will be from 9 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, Friday, November 7 at Holy Angels Parish Church in Wood River.  Father Donald Wolford will be celebrant.

Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Masses.
