Lori Lynette (Toenyes) Chamness

Lori Lynette Chamness, 63, passed away October 12, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

Born June 25, 1962 in Alton, she was the daughter of Jake Toenyes of Gallitan, TN and the late Judy (White) Isom.

She had been employed as a sales associate for K-Mart in West Frankfort, IL.

On August 6, 1999 in Benton, IL, she married Russell Chamness. He survives.

Surviving i addition to her father and husband are a son, Russell Chamness, Jr. of West Frankfort; daughter, Mandy (Jason) Terpening of Woodburn; six grandchildren, Charles, Daniel and Kristen Terpening, Courtney (Austin) west, Taylor Bazzell, Gage (Katie) Terpening; eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Toenyes and Tim (Theresa) Toenyes of East Alton, Jason (Kristy) Toenyes of South Roxana; two sisters, Robin (John) Rowald of Chester, IL, Deann (Lou) Siville of Silo; and mother-in-law, Betty Dunn (her companion, John Hatchet) of Marion.

Cremation rites were accorded.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, October 25 at United Pentecostal Church in Wood River.

Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
