Krista JoAnn Miller

Krista JoAnn Miller, 62, went to be with the Lord, August 9, 2025.

Born April 24, 1963 in Alton, she was the daughter of JoAnn Jeanette (McGuire) and George Donald Miller.

Krista was a bus monitor for the Alton School District for five years. She loved working with the special needs students on her bus. She loved Jesus, singing with JoyFM radio or any Christian music, playing the piano, and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible.  Her favorite scripture reading was Psalms 91 (NKJV).

She is survived by her children, KaShel (Taylor) Merritt, Kerek Miller, and Dashiel Jones; three beautiful grand-babies; an aunt, an uncle; and several cousins.

Krista was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Miller; grandmother, Beatrice McGuire; two aunts; an uncle; and a cousin.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 22 from 5 pm until time of service at 6 pm at Block Church, 166 E. Airline Dr, East Alton, IL.  Rev. Don L. Garland will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of expenses.
