Kevin Christopher Dawson

Kevin Christopher Dawson, 59, passed away November 11, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born February 12, 1965 in Mendota, IL, he was the son of Joe C., Jr.  and Marie A. (Spano) Dawson.

He was a lifetime member of Wood River VFW Post #2859.

He is survived by a son, Christopher Dawson; fiance', Jodi Wongler; brother, Doug Dawson; two sisters, Shelly (Ed) Hess and Teri (Kevin) McCarty; nieces and nephews, Sarah (Zack) Hayes, Jacob Hess, Rachel Hess, Courtney (Kellen) O'Keefe, Emily ((Riley) Smith; great nieces and nephews, Everett and Addie Hess, Oliver and Henry O'Keefe; dear friend, like a brother, Jim Williams; friends, like family at Beasley's; as well as many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm,  Saturday, November 23 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

A Celebration and Reflection gathering will be held beginning at 12 pm, Sunday, November 24 at the Wood River VFW Post.

Memorials are suggested to an Education Fund for Chris Dawson established at 1st MidAmerica Credit Union.
