Kelly Jo (Cain) Correll

Kelly Jo Correll, 58, passed away surrounded by her family, October 9, 2025 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis with courage beyond measure, Kelly faced a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer twice and fought like a true warrior. Kelly is now at peace, and cancer-free.

Born August 6, 1967 in Alton, she was the daughter of Susan (Meyer) Sperandio of Alton and the late John D. Cain.

She was a loving mother that enjoyed spending time with her family and her fourth child, her cat, "Nigel". She enjoyed watching her grandchildren at their sporting events.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her step-father, Neil Sperandio; two sons, Randolph, III (Erin) Cherry of East Alton, Ryne (Haylee) Cherry of Pevely, MO; daughter, Samantha Cherry of Henryetta, OK; six grandchildren, Ava, Ella, and Easton, Cherry, Kinley Rowe, Adalynne and Austin Cherry; and two sisters, Kim (Darrell) Shipp of Amite, LA, and Kathy (Donnie) Clark of Bethalto.

She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, John Cain.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 12 pm until time of A Celebration of Life Service at 1 pm, Saturday, November 1 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. David Janes will officiate.

Interment will be in Wanda Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of expenses.
