Kay (Tite) Pollard

Wanda "Kay" Pollard, 85, passed away March 6, 2025 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville. 

Born March 17, 1939 in Junction, IL, she was the daughter of Floyd A. and Mildred (Lackey) Tite. 

Kay had worked as a bookkeeper for the Ace Hardware in Wood River for 25 years and then Metro-East Auto Mart for an additional 11 years before retiring.

On November 22, 1958 in Rosewood Heights, she married Homer Glenn Pollard.  He died August 1, 1996. 

Surviving are children, Robert (Kristi) Pollard of East Alton, Stacey (Jeff) Foxall of Wood River, Terry (Cindy) Pollard of Alton; eight grandchildren, Jimmy (Amanda) Foxall, Garrett Foxall, Tanner (Alyssa) Foxall, Jason (Alicia) Pollard, Kathleen (Eric) Belloso, Braden Pollard, Zachary Pollard, and Maci Pollard; six great grandchildren, Jackson Pollard, Alex Horn, Jonah Foxall, Alaynah Foxall, Adley Belloso, Myla Belloso, and one more expected in May; a sister, Nancy Shaw of Rosewood Heights (fiance' Tom Stewart); and several nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers and sister-in-law, Bob and Janet Tite, Billy Joe Tite; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Tom Holland, Marsha Tassinari; brother-in-law, Frank Shaw; and two nephews, Ray White and Lonnie Tite.

Visitation will be from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm, Tuesday, March 11 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Edward Granadosin will officiate.

Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation.
