Kathe Ann (Glassbrenner) Hedges

Kathe Hedges,76, died on January 22, 2026.

She was a devout Christian her entire life.

Kathe is survived by her son Christopher Hedges of Jerseyville; two brothers, Paul (Kathryn) Glassbrenner of Roanoke, VA, and Stephen H (Betty) Glassbrenner of Alton. Kathe is also survived by four nephews and five great nephews and nieces: Jason (Lauren) Glassbrenner and daughter Elizabeth of Richmond, VA; Stephen W Glassbrenner of Greensboro, NC; David (Erin) Glassbrenner and children Haiden and Annabelle of Christiansburg, VA; Stephen M (Rose) Glassbrenner and children William and Beulah of Alton. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gene Hedges, in 1978.

A memorial service will be held at Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton on Friday, February 27, at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause that was near and dear to Kathe's heart.
