Judith " Judy" E. (Reid) Elliott

Judith "Judy" E. Elliott, 84, passed away December 5, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born February 29, 1940 in New Burnside, IL, she was the daughter of Joyce and Gayle (Robertson) Reid.

Judy served as the secretary to the Superintendent at East Alton-Wood River High School from 1959-62 before accepting a position at Ralston-Purina in St. Louis in 1962, retiring as the Director of Meetings and Travel in 1999.

She married Robert Elliott on March 25, 1982 in Wood River. He died November 17, 2001.

Surviving are a son, Anthony "Tony" (Jill) Hampton of Bethalto; daughter, Theresa (Marc) Metz of Edwardsville; four grandchildren, Baylee Hampton of Bethalto, Brandon Hampton of Clinton, IA, Erika (Steven) Johns of Edwardsville, Lukas (Kimmi) Metz of Alton; and two great grandchildren, Beckett Johns, and Natalie Metz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Homer Rose, Howard Rose; and three sisters, H. Irene Rose, Mary Louise Williams, and Darlene Mann.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held from 1-4 pm, Sunday, December 8 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Private burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Ozark, IL.
