Joyce Ann (Kaegi) Harrington

Joyce Ann Harrington, 76, passed away May 6, 2024 at Christian Hospital Northeast.

Born August 13, 1947 in Cave-In-Rock, IL, she was the daughter of James Kaegi and Phoebe (Baldwin) Kaegi.

She had worked for Siebold's Bakery and as an aide at the Beverly Farms Foundation facility before retiring.

On March 29, 1969 in Mitchell, she married James "Jim" Allen Harrington. He died April 25, 1998.

Surviving are a son, Andrew Harrington of Wood River; two daughters, Micki (Mark) Goodell in California, Laura Sykes of Alton; six grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Alex, Kayleigh, Kent, and Matt; and sister, Sherry Kaegi-Hill of Godfrey.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Garcia Kaegi; son Eric Harrington; and daughter, Geneva Gail Harrington.

Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Wednesday, May 22 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Norman Wilfong will officiate.

Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.

Memorials are suggested to her family in care of expenses.
