John "Tom" Thomas Boswell

John Thomas "Tom" Boswell, 53, passed away July 25, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.

Born September 24, 1971 in Centralia, he was the son of Paula (Galbreath) Diuguid of Cottage Hills and the late John Boswell.

Tom was a  U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1991-1997.

Surviving in addition to his mother are step-father, Willis Diuguid; two brothers, Brian (Stephanie) Boswell of Bunker Hill, Bradley Nelson Boswell in West Virginia; sister, Jennifer Krankel Rushing of East Alton; and his canine companion, "Chubs".

He was preceded in death by his father; and half-brother, Jeff Boswell.

Visitation will be from 4 pm until time of service at 6 pm, Thursday, July 31 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  Rev. Dr. Kenneth Rutherford will officiate.

Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with honors.

Memorials are suggested to the family in care of expenses.
