John F. Boehmke 69, passed from this earth on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton.
John was born to the late Robert and Evaline Micheletto Boehmke on November 1, 1955.
He was also preceded in death by his brother Bob and his fiancée Janice Hopper Kern. John and Janice graduated in 1973 from Gillespie High School.
John worked at Menard Correctional Center and later retired from Gateway Rail Center. John’s passions were restoring old 'vettes', being a great cook for his family and friends.
His grandchildren and daughter Chelsey were his world. His laughter was so infectious that he was nicknamed Chuckles, especially his friends at Riverside.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Riverside Saloon in Alton on May 3, 2025 at 2 PM..
