John Lee Boverie

John Lee Boverie, 88, passed away October 6, 2025 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born March 29, 1937 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Leo T. and Lorraine K. (Harness) Boverie.

John had been an in plant truck driver for Clark Oil Refinery before his retirement in 1989.

He married Patricia Jane Zumwalt on August 30, 1963 in Wood River.  She died August 11, 2013.

Surviving are two sons, Lance (Patricia) Boverie of Edwardsville, Lanny Leach of Litchfield; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Ronnie Boverie in California; and sister, Janet (Sonny) Gross of Bethalto.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Rodger Leach; and sister, Charlene Prather.

Private service and interment were held in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Fr. Donald Wolford officiated.
