Joe Ann (Bain) Ballard

Joe Ann Ballard, 80, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born April 6, 1945 in Perkins, MO, she was the daughter of Odia and Myrtle (Stanley) Bain.

She married Joseph B. Ballard on July 14, 1979 in Edwardsville.  He died June 20, 2017.

Surviving are two sons, Shane Echols and Blic Echols both of Alton; three daughters, Anita Kessinger of Brighton, Sarah Davis of Wood River, Carla Price of Vandalia; several grandchildren; and three sisters, Deana Null of Bethalto, Joyce Bain of Pana, and Alta Gleason of Roxana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert W. Echols; two brothers, Emory and Rudy Bain; and a sister, Mary Gleason.

Cremation rites were accorded.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
