Jimmie "Papi" Dean Bridges

Jimmie Dean "Papi" Bridges, 69, passed away February 19, 2025 at his home.

Born January 24, 1956 in Wood River, he was the son of Howard James Bridges and Neta (Mayberry) Bridges Barton.

A U.S. Army veteran, he was a self-employed construction contractor.

surviving are three sons, Chris (Tina) Bridges of Wood River, Danny Bridges of East Alton and his fiance', Erin Hubbs, Brian (Leslie) Bridges of Wood River; eight grandchildren, Kristiana, Treavor, Xander, Demetri, Ezekiel, Brianna, Carson, and Carter; and two brothers, Bobby Mayberry of Alton and Donnie Bridges of East Alton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons in infancy, Matthew and Jimmie Dean Bridges, Jr.; and a brother, Edward Bridges.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Interment services will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, March 14 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with military honors.
