Jared Scott Bartholomew, Sr.

Jared Scott Bartholomew, Sr., 31, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 in Shipman. 

Born December 15, 1993 in Alton, he was the son of Curtis Bartholomew of East Alton and Carla "Rene" (Hawkins) Nolan, step-father Bill Nolan of East Alton. 

Jared had been a self-employed mechanic for the past 12 years.

On June 11, 2021 in Edwardsville, he married Brittney Weiss. She survives. 

Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are a son, Jared Scott Bartholomew, Jr. of Wood River; daughter, Allison Hicks of Wood River; brother, Dustin Nolan of East Alton; and two sisters, Alyssa Nolan of East Alton, and Kayla Bartholomew of Edwardsville. 

Visitation will be from 3 pm until time of service at 6 pm, Wednesday, May 28 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Tim Gill will officiate. 

Cremation rites will follow the services.
