James "Jimmy" Lawrence Militello, 21, passed away April 7, 2025 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Moro Township.
Born March 1, 2004 in Alton, the son of Amber (Militello) Fickle of Godfrey. Jimmy was a beloved son, grandson, big brother, nephew, and cousin.
He was employed at the Godfrey Meat Market. Jimmy was the epitome of a "mamma's boy" in the best possible way. He was a kind person always willing to help others. He enjoyed going online and playing video games with his brother and cousin, and loved spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his mother are, step-fathers, Jacob Fickle and Nathan Barnard; grandparents, Faith and Rick Militello; step-grandmothers, Heather Nicholson and Brenda Barnard; his siblings, John Barnard, Emma Barnard, Eli Barnard, Merrilee Fickle, Wyatt Fickle, and Max Fickle; aunts and uncles, Rickey (Stacy) Militello, Jake (Staci) Militello, Jason Nicholson, Jeremy Simpson, and Hayley Nicholson; and cousins, Riley, Noah, Hadley, Nora, Addison, Kaiden, Lucy, and Gertrude.
Visitation will be from 12 - 2 pm, Saturday, April 12 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.
