James Dale Eberhart

James Dale Eberhart, 77, went to be with the Lord November 26, 2024 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born September 2, 1947 in Alton, he was the son of John Henry and Dorothy (Dial) Eberhart.

He had been employed as a mechanical estimator for R.F. Meeh Sheet Metal of Fenton, MO for many years before retiring.

An avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan, he enjoyed gardening, wood working, and loved studying the Bible.

He married Roberta "Joyce" Brown who survives along with his son, James D. Eberhart, II of Wood River; four daughters, Donna (Jim) Walker of Peachtree City, GA, Deborah (Kurt) Kleinschmidt of Grovetown, GA, Katherine Nailor of Margate, FL, Cynthia (Brandon) Grieve of Gulf Breeze, FL; 17 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be from 9am until time of service at 11 am, Tuesday, December 3 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Chuck Bartlett will officiate.

Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery.
