Jack Stalcup, Jr. Obituary

Jack Stalcup, Jr, 69, passed away December 25, 2025 at his residence.

Born December 9, 1956 in Kirkwood, MO, he was the son of Jack, Sr. and JoAnn (Coxen) Stalcup.

Jack served as a police officer in the Village of South Roxana for 32 years retiring as a Lieutenant in 2012. He then became an officer/evidence officer for the Village of East Alton Police Department since 2018.

On July 28, 2007 in Roxana, he married Dawn Marquis. She survives.

Surviving also are a son, Ryan (Kaitlyn) Stalcup of Alton; two daughters, Courtney (Chris) Wood of Belleville, Gabryelle Parker-Stalcup of East Alton; four grandchildren, Chloe Wood, Kolten Stalcup, Eleanor Stalcup, and Alyvia Stalcup; two brothers, Daniel (Jessica) Stalcup in Louisiana, Jeffrey Stalcup in Florida; and two sisters, Diane (Robert) Gowens and Denise Stalcup all in Jacksonville, FL.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Tuesday, December 30 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where funeral services will be held at 11 am, Wednesday. Darren Carlton will officiate.

Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.

Jack's family extends a special, heartfelt gratitude to Darren, Scott, Al, Christian, Mac, Mike, Alex, Mikel, Wes, Alex G., Brandon, Will, Kellin and Trevor for their friendship and loyalty over the past years. Also, express gratitude to all of the administration, officers, and support staff of the South Roxana, Roxana, East Alton, Hartford and Wood River Police Departments for the honoring escort, respect and caring shown over the years.

Memorials are suggested to the East Alton Police Department Benevolent.
