Howard "Bud" Alan Roady

Howard "Bud" A. Roady, 70, passed away September 21, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born September 28, 1954 in Wood River, he was the son of Howard W. and Gladys (Johnson) Roady.

Bud was a school bus driver in the Alton School District before retiring.

He married Lela Shaw on May 9, 1987 in Alton. She died in 2010.

Surviving are a son, Richard Castillo in Texas; daughter, Deanna Lorts of Dayton, TX; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, David Roady and Vincent Roady both of Alton; and sister, Janet L. Roady of Alton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Stephen J. Roady; and two sisters, Sandra carter and Karen Roady.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm, Friday, September 26 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where services will be conducted at 10:30 am, Saturday, September 27.  Frank Akers will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
