Georgia (Smith) Brown

Georgia Brown, 79, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Born January 27, 1945 in Wood River, she was the daughter of Herman Lee and Catherine Elizabeth ( Peters) Smith.

She had worked many years as an Inspector for the Olin Corporation before retiring.

Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen (David) DeWitt of Granite City; granddaughter, Andrea Estabrook; great grandson, Anthony Estabrook; and two sisters, Martina (Paul) Scoggins and Marilyn Fischer all of Wood River.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Andrew Lee Jones; and brother, Johnny Smith in infancy.

No services have been scheduled. Cremation rites were accorded.
