George Edwin Hartley, Jr

George Edwin Hartley, Jr., 83, passed away February 6, 2024 at Bria of Godfrey.

Born October 30, 1940 in Alton, he was the son of George E. , Sr. and Annabelle R. (Stewart) Hartley.

He had owned and operated George Hartley Heating and Cooling.

He married Jane Langeman. She survives.

Surviving also are a son, George E. Hartley, III;daughter, Robin (Darren) Carlton; step son, Chuck Ward; step-daughter, Janie Ward.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Melissa Hartley.

Cremation rites were accorded.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held from 1-4 pm, Sunday, April 7 at the Keasler Complex, 615 Third St. East Alton.
