Gary Lee Ledford

Gary Lee Ledford, 76, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at his home.

Born January 19, 1948 in Alton, he was the son of Frank Ledford and Annabell (Copeland) Cotton.

A Vietnam Army veteran, he worked as an operator for Shell Oil for 30 years before retiring in 2010.

On December 14, 1968 in Opelika, AL, he married Quilla Bracknell.  She survives.

Surviving also are two daughters, Melissa (Eric) Abernathy of Jerseyville, Penny (Corey) Waltz of Godfrey; three grandchildren; a great grandchild; and sister, Brenda Locke of San Antonio, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sonny Raymond Cotton; and two sisters, Clarice Cibley and Starla McKinney.

Cremation rites were accorded.

Private interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
