Eva "Joan" Ashbaker

Eva "Joan" Ashbaker, 87, passed away December 9, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born March 3, 1938 in Rushville, IL, she was the daughter of Robert and Eva (Bowen) Ashbaker.

Joan was a wonderful sister and aunt as well as caregiver for her parents.

She was employed as an accountant for the A.O. Smith Company before retiring.

Surviving are a sister, Norma Abernathy of East Alton; three nieces; a nephew; and five great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Janice Eades.

Private service will be conducted with burial in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
