Edward Oman Blasingim

Edward Oman Blasingim, 88, passed away July 30,2025, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton., Illinois.

Born September 22, 1936 in Hickman, KY, he was the son of Luther and Virgle M. (Forsythe) Blasingim.

A U.S. Army veteran, Edward worked with sheet metal for McDonnell-Douglas retiring after 35 years. In his free time, he was an avid bowler.

He are survived by sons, Larry Blasingim of East Alton, Bill (Renee) Blasingim of East Alton; brothers, David Blasingim of Edwardsville, Ronnie Blasingim of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; sister, Mary Bricker-Davis of Cottage Hills; and three grandchildren, Bryan Denny, Barry Mazzarella, and Nicole Wilmurth. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Sharon Lee (Bishop) Blasingim.

No services have been scheduled at this time.

Cremation rights have been accorded.
