Duane Robert Moore

Duane Robert Moore, 82, passed away December 17, 2025 at his residence.

Born August 25, 1943 in Bangor, MI, he was the son of L.T. and Olive (Bates) Moore.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, he had been employed as a fork lift operator for Alton Box Board 28 years before retiring. Duane loved fishing, especially river fishing. He was an avid bowler, recording '300' games and '800' series up into April of this year.

He married Shirley Vogelpohl who preceded him in death in December of 2018.

Surviving are his companion, Carolyn Baron of Rosewood Heights; son, Robert "Big Bob" (Chrissy) Burnham of Bethalto; four grandchildren, Myles, Austin (Jenna), Bradley and Josh; two great grandchildren, Raina and Tegan; and a brother, Keith (Judy) Moore of East Alton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a brother, Jerry Moore.

A Celebration of Life memorial visitation will be held from 11 am until time of service at 12:30 pm, Saturday, January 10, 2026 at CrossPoint Southern Baptist Church in Edwrdsville. Pastor Tony Rangel will officiate.
