Donald "Duane" Jones

Donald "Duane" Jones, 69 passed away Friday afternoon,  October 24,2025 with his family by his side. 

Born April 11, 1956 in Wood River, he was the son of Don Jones and Erma Jones-Hartsock. 

"Big Deranged" as he was affectionately known, was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was ready for a "quick" 300 mile ride to get something to eat at a moments notice. Duane also loved dogs of all shapes and sizes, often mentioning how the company of dogs makes life better. Duane retired in 2014 from the Teamsters with 38 years of service.

Duane is survived by his daughter, Nikkie Jones. His son, Ben Jones. His sister and brother in law, Vanda and Dennis Underwood. And his beloved dog "Dawg". 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald D. Jones and Erma Jones-Hartsock. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wood River Moose on November 15, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 pm
