Dessie Pauline (Logsdon) Edwards

Dessie Pauline Edwards, 83, passed away December 16, 2025 in Wood River.

Born October 28, 1942 in East Alton, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Ruby (Welty) Logsdon.

Dessie had been a unit clerk at Wood River Township Hospital for 25 years before retiring. She was a member of 1st Assembly of God Church in Wood River; and enjoyed gardening, camping, bowling, cooking for her family; and thrift shopping at stores.

She is survived by two daughters, Nicole (Lloyd) Denny of Granite City, Penny (Bob) Noel of Hartford; four grandchildren, Grace Denny, Brittney Noel, Tiffany Noel, Amber Weller; a brother, Jesse Logsdon,  her best friend and caregiver, Ruby Walker of Wood River; and dear friend, Kari Thompson of Granite City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Logsdon, and Ronald Logsdon; and sister, Jeanette Logsdon Holland.

Cremation rites were accorded.

No services have been scheduled at this time.

Memorials are suggested to the 1st Assembly of God Church in Wood River.
